From Down Under to Colorado
TooSteppin's origins are rooted in the migration of a couple of Aussies to beautiful Colorado USA.
One chilly Colorado Christmas eve, a visiting fellow Aussie family member was a bit thirsty and said "Hey, while you are down the grog shop picking up some wine, can you grab me some Real Ginger Beer" (ie some with an Alcoholic kick). Sure, said the other Aussie but unbeknownst to all, there was nary a Real Ginger Beer to be found in all the hundreds of beers available at the local liquor warehouse.
At some point late in the Christmas day festivities, a gauntlet was thrown down; "You should brew some Ginger Beer". Immediately, a ginger beer naming workshop ensued. Thankfully, a collective love of country music amongst the workshopees carried the day and "TooSteppin" was imagined.
TooSteppin was born from fun and is all about having fun.
Hundreds of test brews later, we have the deliciousness of TooSteppin Real Ginger Beer brewed by hand right here in Colorado.
How Do We Make Real Ginger Beer?

Fresh Ginger Root
First we start with oodles of Fresh ginger which is chopped and boiled to extract the gingery goodness. We add some secret herbs and spices to accentuate and compliment the ginger flavours

Fermentation is the Key
With some cane sugar, local snow melt and some specially selected yeast, we then hit fermentation. This develops the Real Ginger Beer Flavor and of course, throws out a bit of alcohol in the process as the yeast eats its way through the ginger juice sugars and the cane sugars.

The Flavor Workshop
After fermentation is complete, we crash cool the ginger beer, stabilize it and then add back some sweetness and flavor with stuff like delicious fruit puree made from nothing but real fruits.

Frankenfilter
Our Real Ginger beer goes through a triple filter process going through a series of steadily finer filters to leave nothing but the best and cleanest ginger beer for your glass.

Pack and Ship
We can and/or keg our Ginger Beer on site here and be rest assured we test every batch. It's a tough job but someone has to do it :).
